Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

RICS members offer advice on a wide range of property-related issues, including land, property, construction and environmental issues. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors helps to set, maintain and regulate professional standards within these property-related issues. For property investment purposes, property valuations may be the most common RICS function encountered, which involves a RICS certified surveyor who is instructed to value an investment property or properties. A RICS valuation is upheld by many to be the most certain way to determine the true value of a property, due to the expertise that RICS members hold and the precise manner in which the research is conducted and results collected and analysed.
