Some of these terms can have more than one meaning, so we have applied the definition which applies most closely to the context it will be applied for, relating to property investment. Chartered Surveyor
A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Chartered Surveyors provide specialist advice on a number of property related issues. For property investment purposes, a Chartered Surveyor will most likely be nominated by the mortgage lender or purchaser to conduct an expert valuation of the investment property or properties in question.
