We wish you all a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2012; we know that many of you plan to start, or expand, your property investment portfolio this year.

We are delighted to bring you another Caribbean investment property update, including more positive news and showing how the exposure and popularity of the 5 star Buccament Bay Resort continues to grow.

Buccament Bay, St. Vincent 5 Star Beach Resort - Update.

1.) Where to find the trip of a lifetime article on the Daily Mail website, featuring Buccament Bay beneath the \"Caribbean Corker\" heading.

2.) 12 travel resolutions for 2012 article on The Independent website, featuring Buccament Bay in the first two paragraphs under the heading Get Fit and Stay Sporty.

3.) Hottest travel destinations of 2012 article on the Travel + Leisure website, detailing St. Vincent and the Grenadines as a hot destination and in particular the 5 star Buccament Bay Beach Resort.

4.) The Buccament Bay resort does not have much competition on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent, particularly at 5 star level.

We have been askedif it is this lack of competition which explains why Buccament Bay has enjoyed such high occupancy rates.

Perhaps this is a contributing factor, but the latest available information shows that current accommodation charges at one of the closest comparable hotels/resorts are set substantially higher than that charged at Buccament Bay.

We believe that it is the emphasis on truly offering value for money, thus ensuring a high occupancy rate, which has made the Buccament Bay resort such a success to date and popular with investors who wish to receive a high, year-round rental income from their investment property.

5.) One of the factors making The Buccament Bay resort such a desirable travel destination are the premium, branded sporting facilities available.

The latest blog article available discusses the world-class football players who will be appearing and coaching at the Buccament Bay resort.

Pensions - Update.

1.) The Department for Work and Pensions have published an article referencing that recent data shows less than 40% are currently saving into a private pension.

The modern-day attitude towards pensions appears to have altered, with many believing that relying solely on a conventional provate or company pension will not yield sufficient income upon retirement to maintain the desired standard of living.

Many also appear to have lost complete faith in those charged with increasing pension value to maturity.

One or both of the above could be major contributing factors as to why we have seen a dramatic increase in Self Invested Personal Pensions.

If you are unfamiliar, a Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) allows you to choose where your pension funds are invested, as long as SIPP compliant.

All Caribbean investment property we currently promote is suitable for SIPP investment.
